It’s that time of the year again! As July comes to an end, Delhi University has once again opened its doors for aspiring professors and even experienced ones. If you are someone who is interested in spreading the seed on knowledge then this is your time. 

The official notice issued by the university read, “Online applications are invited in the prescribed Application Form from eligible candidates for appointment to the post of Assistant Professor, in the Academic Pay Level 10 of 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix, in various Departments of the University. The last date for receipt of application is 23.07.2019 or two weeks from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News, whichever is later.”

The last date to apply for the post of a professor is August 8, for the post of an assistant professor is July 27 and for the post of an associate professor is August 4. Eligibility Criteria For The Vacant Positions

  • For the professor position, the university requires a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a University or College as an Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor, and/or research experience at an equivalent level at the University or National level Institutions with evidence of having successfully guided a doctoral candidate. 
  • If you have a masters degree with over 55% and have successfully cleared your National Eligibility Test (NET), you are eligible to apply for the position of an assistant professor. 
  • On the other hand, if you have completed your Ph.D. and have experience as an assistant professor at a university, college or accredited research institution/industry with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals in a relevant subject then you are eligible to apply for the position of associate professor.
