Actors Vicky Kaushal and Harleen Sethi made their relationship official during the success bash of Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film received a lot of love and appreciation from fans, critics and the Bollywood fraternity. Vicky became the most sought-after actor and the media started speculating about his ladylove Harleen.
The sources revealed that it all began when the two had met at common friend Amritpal Singh Bindra’s party. Incidentally, another woman who had a massive crush on the actor flew down from another city to meet him at the same party! While he failed to notice that woman’s subtle hints, Vicky ended up hitting it off with Harleen. Sounds like fate, doesn’t it?
On Koffee With Karan, Vicky said, “Let’s see what happens. It’s a new relationship, but it is very serious.”
He didn’t stop there. In an interview on a chat show, he spoke about his relationship with Harleen and admitted that they have been in love ever since they met at a party last year.
“We happen to meet through common friends. It felt right from the very beginning. We never questioned it. The beginning isn’t too far off. It only started last year. It was beautiful to get to know each other,” he confessed. “Whatever happened, happened in a very organic way. We didn’t rush it or question it. It just seemed right. We enjoy each other’s company. We are our best critics. It’s a happy space,” he further expressed.
Last month, it was reported that the couple has called it quits and unfollowed each other on Instagram.
At an award show, Vicky was asked about his relationship status, and the Masaan actor said, “Hanji ekdum single. Ye dekho ekdum akela.” When the interviewer again insisted to confirm if he is telling the truth, the actor said, “Single. Ekdum.”
Now Harleen opened up about the breakup. She said, “Honestly, it did not bother me but it did bother my family and friends. As an individual, we all have our own identities. I was associated with a movie star and I haven’t done a movie yet, doesn’t make me any less. I still love myself. And I would love to be known as Harleen Sethi. I am Harleen Sethi. I think it will be unfair to call someone else my ex-boyfriend, right?”
On being asked if the breakup helped her prepare for her role in Broken and Beautiful, she said, “I think for an actor it is essential to experience all sort of emotions in real life. In a way, it is good that what happened, happened.”
