Rumour mills are abuzz that after Parth Samthaan aka Anurag Basu, the leading lady of Kasautii Zindagii Kay Erica Fernandes is also planning to leave the show. While the news of Parth’s exit from KZK still remains to be confirmed by the makers, Erica’s fans have good news coming their way. Our beloved Prerna recently opened up about the rumours surrounding her exit.

The actress has confirmed that she is NOT leaving the show. Yep, you read that right! Talking to a media portal, Erica said, “I am currently very much a part of Kasautii Zindagi Kay.”
Earlier, there were reports of Yeh Hain Mohabbatein actress Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya replacing the Erica. She took to her Instagram and wrote, “DTD as Prerna in KZK? It’s a rumour! Just clearing the air for those who care”.

If reports are to be believed, Parth made the decision of leaving the show over the shift in the storyline, which is now more focussed on Mr Bajaj (Karan Patel) and Prerna. He also wants to focus on his health and other projects. Parth had tested positive for coronavirus last month. Even though his reports came out to be negative a week after his diagnosis, he was under home quarantine and resumed shoot just recently.
According to reports, while Ekta Kapoor is still trying to persuade Parth to continue his journey with Kasautii, the production house, in the meantime, has already started looking for potential replacements. Names like Barun Sobti, Pearl V Puri and Vivek Dahiya have already cropped up.

From Aamna Sharif replacing Hina Khan as Komolika to Karan Patel taking over from Karan Singh Grover as Mr Bajaj, we’ve seen a lot of replacements in the show. But are Kasautii fans ready to see a new Prerna? We don’t think so. Well, as of now, Erica is staying on the show but we don’t know what the future holds.
