Dipika Kakar became a household name after her stint as Simar Bhardwaj in Sasural Simar Ka. She amassed a huge fan following which she ended up winning Bigg Boss Season 12. She was seen as the calmest and most mature contestant on the show.
Post her big win, the TV actress is all set to make her comeback on the small screen. She will be seen in a soap opera produced by Sandiip Sikand titled Pani Puri. The show is based on an unrequited love story, revolving around two individuals who are willing to give love a second chance. It also stars Karan V Grover, Tanaaz Irani, Ashish Nayyar and Deepak Sandhu in pivotal roles.
Reportedly, ex-Bigg Boss contestant, Romil Chaudhary will also be seen on the show. A source close to the makers of the show said, “The producers are in talks with him. It is highly probable that he will get on board. The makers are keen on him.” With rumours abuzz, Romil will be seen romancing Dipika.
We all know about Dipika and Romil’s rivalry in the Bigg Boss house, right? The two had sworn to never meet each other outside the house. Romil, who entered the Bigg Boss house as a commoner made a couple of friends but Dipika wasn’t one of them. The two had multiple fights and never were on the same team. Romil felt that Dipika was a diplomatic person while Dipika felt Romil was cunning and selfish. Watching the two enemies play love interests will be quite interesting. Let’s hope the actors bury the hatchet and keep their professional and personal life separate.
The recent update about Pani Puri has made us all even more curious about the show. Producer Sandiip took to Instagram to share a picture with lovely ladies Divyanka Tripathi and Dipika Kakar with the caption, “A very very special day and shoot today… THANK YOU @divyankatripathidahiya and lets rockkkk @ms.dipika ❤️❤️❤️”
Since then, rumours about Divyanka joining team Pani Puri are doing the rounds. Sources reveal, “Sandiip considers Divyanka as his lucky mascot as the two go back a long way. Besides Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’s success has of course been evident over the years. Hence, Sandiip wanted to bring on board his lucky charm and so Divyanka will be making a special appearance on the show! In fact, Divyanka will be coming on to the show in a never before seen role and look. Her appearance will be something totally unique and truly a highlight.”
