It's been a year already since we saw Deepika Padukone dressed as a beautiful Sabyasachi bride and we still can't get over that unique red and gold lehenga which she wore for the Anand Karaj. What caught our attention though was the border of the dupatta that went on her head. Deepika's personalised border had the words 'Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava', meaning may you forever be married and never experience the curse of widowhood - embossed on it in gold.
Deepika and her elaborate ensemble set a new trend among brides, making them pick the same lehenga by the ace designer. Recently, a bride from Delhi gave us Déjà vu of the actress' wedding look by wearing the same lehenga (with the same customised message) and we are falling in love all over again.
Eishita Puri donned this beautiful Sabya wala lehenga for her wedding. She even put up a maangtika of a similar design as Deepika's! We are guessing Eishita's bridal jewellery was also by Sabya. Her heavy choker neckpiece and elaborate nose ring reminded us of Deepika instantly.
In fact, Eishita also opted for two dupattas much like the Padmaavat actress. Her lehenga had peacock motifs all over and 'Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava' crafted on her dupatta too! What a stunning way to honour Sabyasachi Mukherjee's creation. Eishita also added custom-made details to her wedding ensemble, making it a truly memorable day for herself and also for us.
Thanks for this amazing flashback. And, yes, we wish you a happy married life.
