Aaj saare, chaand taare
Bann gaye hain, disco lights…

…is what everyone is singing after looking at Deepika Padukone’s saree from last night!

At the Bollywood screening of Chhapaak in Mumbai, the lead actress wore a brilliant blue saree, and we say ‘brilliant’ because of the glittering sequins in it. If that’s not festive, we don’t know what is! Check out her pictures from the premiere with husband Ranveer Singh and her entire family. Spoiler alert: she looks like a Goddess in all!

Styled by Shaleena Nathani, DP wore this saree by her all-time favourite designer, Sabyasachi. Who else! She completed the look with a couple of muted gold-toned bangles in each wrist, matching earrings and a pair of low slim heels.

As for hair and makeup, she went with a dewy look with bold, dramatic eyes and slightly wet hair roughly tousled behind the ears. What an extraordinary look for a night event. Well, extraordinary and easy! Are you taking notes, ladies?

To no one’s surprise, the reviews of the film are amazing and, now, so is our #ThrowbackThursday. Why, you ask? The royal blue saree that Deepika wore last night has taken us seven years back to 2013, reminding us of her iconic blue saree in Badtameez Dil.
