"Anyone could talk about how beautiful she is, and anyone could tell you about her unmatched comedic timing. But she isn't just a star. She's an actor's actor, dedicated to the craft." Vin Diesel, who was Deepika Padukone's co-star in xXx: Return of Xander Cage, penned down these words of appreciation for DP last year when she made it to Time magazine's list of 100 most influential people.
And we couldn't agree more. But, apart from acting skills, Bollywood is one industry that judges your style and fashion choices all the time. And DP has cracked this bang on! Probably, that's why she is the only Indian actress to feature in the Business of Fashion list (BoF 500).
A few days ago, we were drooling over her boho-inspired bustier maxi dress from the Dior Cruise 2020 collection, the actress' mention in the BoF List gives us yet another reason to swoon over her talent, contribution and of course her sense of style!
The Business Of Fashion 500 is a professional index of people who shape and contribute to the $2.4 trillion fashion industry. The selection of the list of people is done by the editors of The Business of Fashion based on detailed research, data analysis and nominations received from all the already existing BoF 500 members.
And here's what Business Of Fashion shared about our talented star, “One of the highest-paid actors in Bollywood was featured on the April cover of American Vogue and has become a red carpet mainstay by mixing Parisian haute couture labels with homegrown Indian designers.”
Well, Deepika is not the only Indian who made it to the list, founder and Cheif Executive Sanjeev Bhal of Saitex also is a part of BoF 500.
The Padmaavat actress, however, deserves every bit of being in BoF 500 and we can slate multiple reasons for the same (but that would need a whole day). DP is not only the most sought after actress when it comes to giving a face to the most prominent brands, she also has a huge number of endorsements to her credit.
Not just this, Deepika created a lot of buzz for getting the first rank under India’s most trusted personality (in the female actor category) according to the Trust Research Advisory List. Well, that leaves us wondering how many dockets is the actress really a part of!
Other than the Paris Fashion Week where Deepika wore a printed maxi dress, she also made heads turn at the IIFA Awards about a month back, as she wore a purple ruffled feather gown with a dramatically long veil.
On the work front, Deepika will be next seen in Chhapaak opposite Vikrant Massey. The movie is slated to hit the screens on January 10, 2020. She is also playing a brief but important role in Ranveer Singh's 83, a movie based on India winning the World Cup in 1983.
