One of the best-selling food, fiction and nonfiction authors Anthony Bourdain was found dead today. This news has come as a bolt out of the blue. Fans and friends are hoping this to be a death hoax but to their dismay, it isn't.
Bourdain was in France working on an upcoming episode of his award-winning CNN series "Parts Unknown." His friend Eric Ripert found Bourdain unconscious in his hotel room this morning.
His first ever TV show was A Cook's Tour on the Food Network in 2002.
Not only was he a phenomenal chef but also a great storyteller.
Twitterati is mourning Bourdain passing away. Check out how they have reacted to this news.
This is beyond shocking and sad. Two bright lights #anthonybourdain and #KateSpade gone. I’m just beyond words. Here are his: ‘Anyone who's a chef, who loves food, ultimately knows that all that matters is: 'Is it good? Does it give pleasure?' RIP Anthony Bourdain our food guide https://t.co/mnHfMLPnrU

Anthony Bourdain flew us around the world and gave us the opportunity to explore new places, cultures, and food with him.
Because of him, many of us dreamt of going to these places — and then worked to make it a reality.
Thank you for helping open the world. #AnthonyBourdain pic.twitter.com/wJA7Tf561g

I find it heartbreaking that so many people regardless of social status are taking their lives these days! Success and an outwardly happy demeanor mean nothing, behind closed doors people are struggling! 😭#anthonybourdain #KateSpade

"If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food. It's a plus for everybody."
This one really hurts. RIP Anthony Bourdain #anthonybourdain pic.twitter.com/EngpJw1WtR

Everyone has demons. Everyone. Let me say again ... everyone.
Listen and show compassion to friends, family and strangers alike. Maybe make a difference, without even realizing it. #AnthonyBourdain #KateSpade
