Though the lockdown spurred wedding cancellations across the country, there are many couples–including celebrities–who took the plunge and got married. Quite a few celebrities stars tied the knot in small yet spectacular ceremonies, and our Instagram handles have been brimming with photos and videos of many such gorg pictures.

Rana Daggubati & Miheeka Bajaj
On August 8, Tollywood heartthrob Rana Daggubati tied the knot with designer Miheeka Bajaj. The close-knit lockdown wedding took place at Ramanaidu Studios in Hyderabad and it was nothing less than magical. Right from their pre-wedding functions to the shaadi and their first post-wedding look, we’ve been swooning over the beautiful ceremonies and Miheeka’s bridal looks.
Puja Banerjee & Kunal Verma
Telly couple Puja Banerjee and Kunal Verma were all set to tie the knot on April 15, 2020, but then came the pandemic and hosting a big fat wedding was out of the question. However, on the same day (April 15), the Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna actress took to her Instagram handle to reveal that the couple had already registered their wedding over a month ago. And therefore, they were an officially married couple. As a noble gesture, they donated the money they were going to spend on their shaadi to the needy.
Puja and Kunal, who met on the sets of Tujh Sang Preet Lagai Sajna in 2008, dated each other for nine years. The couple got engaged on August 16, 2017, and are planning to celebrate once the pandemic gets over.
Manish Raisinghan & Sangeita Chauhaan
With just 10 people in attendance, Sasural Simar Ka actor Manish Raisinghan tied the knot with Ek Shringaar-Swabhiman fame Sangeita Chauhaan on June 30 in a Mumbai gurudwara. While Sangeita looked beautiful in a pink Banarasi suit and a matching face mask, Manish complemented his bride in a soft pink kurta paired with an indigo jawahar jacket. Take a look!

Prachi Tehlan & Rohit Saroha
Prachi Tehlan, who made her acting debut with Diya Aur Baati Hum, married a Delhi-based businessman Rohit Saroha on August 7, 2020. While they knew each other since seven years and had dated for a while, things didn’t really work out. But it was during the coronavirus pandemic that they met again and decided to tie the knot within a month.
Prachi looked stunning in red and got married with just 50 people in attendance. She flaunted a not-so usual lehenga skirt for her haldi attire and we absolutely loved it.

Niti Taylor & Parikshit Bawa
Another TV actress to get married during the pandemic is Niti Taylor. The Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan actress married Parikshit Bawa on August 13, 2020, but announced it on October 6. She took to her Instagram handle and wrote that she waited to announce her wedding as she was hoping that the pandemic would die down sooner and they could celebrate in a big way. Even though they were planning to get married at the end of October, they chose August 13 as they got engaged on the same day last year.
Ashutosh Kaushik & Arpita Tiwari
Bigg Boss 2 and Roadies 5.0 winner Ashutosh Kaushik got married to the love of his life, Arpita Tiwari, on the terrace of the latter’s house in Noida on April 26. The pictures and videos from the low-key lockdown wedding went viral soon after Ashutosh posted them on his Facebook page. Talking to a media portal, the former Bigg Boss contestant said that the marriage was fixed way before the pandemic struck the world and they got married on the same day as they wanted to honour their original wedding date. Ashutosh and Arpita donated the money they were going to spend on their wedding to the needy.
Nikhil Siddhartha & Pallavi Varma
Tollywood actor Nikhil Siddhartha tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend Dr Pallavi Verma on May 14, 2020. The wedding that took place at a farmhouse in Hyderabad, was a private affair with only family members and close friends in attendance. From separate stalls for sanitisers to the guests wearing face masks, all safety precautions were in place at the wedding.
