We get it, the surreal charm of a traditional red wedding lehenga is unmatchable. But there are some badass brides who have ditched this customary colour for their D-day and picked unique ones instead. From neons, pastels to even yellow, modern brides are on an experimental spree when it comes to their shaadi ka joda. And honestly, they are goals! But what catches our attention every time, is the magic of a white bridal lehenga. Meet Harkiran Basra, who recently got married and chose white for her special day & wore a matching set of seashell kaleeras.

Harkiran, who is a fashion designer by profession, tied the knot in an all-white outfit that she designed herself. She paired the stunning embroidered lehenga with a matching full-sleeves blouse. Harkiran’s mantra when it comes to lehengas is ‘bigger the flare, the better’, and her bridal outfit is proof. While writing the caption of one of her wedding posts on her Instagram handle, she wrote, “I am all about the fabric and how it flows! I am all about that flare baby, it just looks and feels so special”. Well, we couldn’t agree more!
With her bridal lehenga, Harkiran chose to wear a gorgeous hand-embroidered dupatta, which was more like a veil. Harkiran said, “When I was designing my outfit, one thing was certain, that my dupatta had to be the showstopper. It (my dupatta) was all done by hand and I wanted to give it that French lace-like quality, hence the intricate detailing. I know it looks lightweight but, honestly, it wasn’t”.

Going by the picture, we can say that it was all worth it! For her jewellery, she wore a choker with white pearls, matching earrings and a statement maangtikka. Harkiran also wore an OTT nath that made her look royal.
Another thing that we absolutely loved in Harkiran’s bridal look were the seashell kaleeras. The beautiful white kaleeras not only matched perfectly with her bridal attire, they looked too exquisite to describe. Harkiran wanted to wear mogra kaleeras on her shaadi, but she had to change her plans due to the sweltering heat. TBH, we are so glad she went for the seashell ones, ‘coz, clearly, they looked perfect.
Coming to her makeup, MUA Shubhdeep Gill gave Harkiran a subtle flawless base and nude lips. Classic smokey eyes, fluttery lashes and tonnes of mascara completed her eye makeup. The bride tied her hair into a low bun and ditched the usual hair accessories.
