We agree that red and pink are the most sought after colours when it comes to bridal outfits. But, we also cannot deny that these colours have a certain charm that can make any bride look out-of-the-world beautiful. Maybe that is why Anushka Sharma also picked a pretty blush pink lehenga for her wedding. And to say that we loved her outfit will be an understatement. We simply adored the Sabyasachi creation! *dreamy eyes*
Anushka set some serious goals with her wedding lehenga and in a way brought pink back in trend. So, when this gorgeous lady, Divya Arora, decided to get hitched, she chose a sequinned pink lehenga from ace designer Suneet Verma’s collection and completely nailed her engagement look.
Her monotone lehenga was studded with sequins and had a lighter net dupatta to complement it. Divya opted for a heavy diamond choker with her lehenga and completed her look with matching earrings and a bracelet.
She went for minimal make-up which was a smart choice because one, it was a day function and two, it helped her lehenga stand out in all its glory. Much sought after bridal make-up artist Jasmeet Kapany did a great job, we must say. Heavy make-up tends to take the focus away from the outfit at times. So one should only opt for it when their outfit is on the simpler side.
Divya’s handsome groom, Karan looked absolutely dashing in a royal blue bandhgala suit. They make a really stunning couple, don’t they?
Apart from the bride and groom’s outfits, there was another unique thing about the engagement function that we tots loved. It was a Japanese-themed event and from the decor to the food and drinks, everything was in-keeping with the theme.
In fact, the bride’s lehenga too was inspired by the Japanese cherry blossom. Very well thought out indeed!
