Pretty pastels, hints of neon and even white, modern day brides are making their own rules when it comes to their bridal lehengas and we are lovin’ it. But nothing quite beats the elegance and grandeur of a traditional wedding saree. You can't go wrong with this nine-yard wonder. And bride Jatinder Kailey-Patel is proving exactly that. She ditched shaadi ka lehenga and opted for a beautiful red saree for her wedding day.
Jatinder, who is based out of London, tied the knot with Mitesh Patel in a big fat wedding in Udaipur, Rajasthan (in the pre-Covid era, of course). The couple had two ceremonies--a vedic wedding ceremony and Anand Karaj--and this gave Jatinder the opportunity to wear a saree and lehenga for her wedding.
For the vedic ceremony, the gorgeous bride chose to wear a beautiful red Sabyasachi saree. Jatinder paired it with a red blouse and looked like a quintessential desi dulhan.
Uff, we just can’t take our eyes off this bride. She accessorised her saree with a golden choker, matching earrings, and a maathapatti. The statement nath definitely added that much-needed grace to her look.
Her makeup artist Monika Jurani gave her a flawless base along with bronze eye makeup. Fluttery lashes, tons of mascara, red bindi and bold red lips completed her look.
Meanwhile, the groom looked dapper in an off-white Sabyasachi sherwani that he accessorised with an embroidered stole.
Check out the some pictures from their dreamy wedding:
Coming to her bridal attire for her Anand Karaj ceremony, Jatinder opted for a beautiful maroon lehenga by Venisons.
TBH, we were so impressed by this bride’s sartorial choices that we decided to look for some more pictures from her wedding ceremonies. You're welcome!
While Jatinder opted for a simple white sharara suit, Mitesh went for an anarkali kurta.
For their sangeet ceremony, Jatinder opted for a purple embroidered kurta and paired it with golden lehenga. She chose to wear two dupattas with her attire. The groom, meanwhile, chose to wear a multi-coloured bandhgala with black pants.
Ditching the usual yellow for their haldi ceremony, Jatinder and Mitesh chose to wear white for the day.
For her reception, Jatinder wore a Banarasi Sabyasachi lehenga with two dupattas and looked stunning. The groom, on the other hand, wore a black embroidered blazer with black pants.
We are so impressed with all the #Fashionspiration? Aren't you?
