Bollywood Is In Love With This Floor Sweeping Saree Style & So Are We!

Amidst your regular wardrobe staples such as a pair of denim and a little black dress, there’s another wardrobe essential that Bollywood highlights every now and then, rather it’s a classic -- a beautiful silk saree. From Rekha to Vidya Balan to Deepika Padukone, this 6-yard beauty had been evergreen and one of the most sustainable pieces in style. Having said that, it’s safe to say that silk sarees are becoming a popular choice amongst actresses and wearing it in floor-sweeping style is something you’re going to appreciate because of its contribution to your delicate traditional look.

Anushka Sharma opted for the floor-sweeping silk saree for her reception day. The pivotal point of donning a saree is that it’s as inclusive as it’s exclusive, especially, with the floor-sweeping saree trend. It’s available for all in the same style, but how you choose to wear it, makes all the difference. The ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee shared in an interview that, “I got a lot of flak for Anushka’s Delhi reception outfit because a lot of people said ‘Iss main designer kya hai?’ But the comments made me smile because that is exactly what we wanted to do, we wanted her to be accessible, we did not want her to sit in an ivory tower.”

Bollywood is head over heels in agreement with the trend and stars like Kangana Ranaut, Deepika Padukone and Tamannaah Bhatia are already rocking it.
