Are Bollywood Divas Inspiring Us To Follow Hollywood Red Carpet Trends?

Hollywood’s style mantra is straight and simple if you’ve got it, flaunt it. And it’s impressive how Bollywood divas are enjoying and embracing the similar styles.

For instance, the credit of making a black latex dress popular goes to Kim Kardashian’s Tom Ford Women’s spring-summer 2018 after party presence. Yes, the time when Kim chose to surprise everyone with platinum hair and a rubbery dress. It certainly got the world talking! The gorgeous Sonakshi Sinha, who for some is an epitome of ‘the curvy girl’, recently made heads turn in black latex dress at Karan Johar’s singles day party. No kidding, she looked stunning and knew exactly how to pull that Kim Kardashian moment off. While Kim is often seen wearing latex dresses, Sonakshi herself and her stylist Mohit Rai are well aware that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea to nail latex fashion. They know that the bomb dress “deserves a post of its own” and we certainly agree! The thought that Sonakshi loved and nailed a latex dress certainly inspires me to go for it.

Another challenging trend that’s spreading like wildfire in Hollywood and thanks to Disha Patani, now, also in Bollywood is the naked dress! Every other Hollywood diva has donned the trend. From Rihanna and Beyonce to Selena Gomez and Bella Hadid, everyone has had their own version of this style. This is one of those trends that doesn’t die or even fades but keeps evolving with time. Disha Patani recently showed everyone how Bollywood does the ‘naked’ fashion and owned every bit of it! Styled by Tanya Ghavri, her Manish Malhotra golden see-through gown was paired with off-white heels and messy updo by hairstylist Sanky Evrus. Even though, naked trends are not everyone’s go-to but Disha, wore it in a style that made us want to try it for the next event.

Time to say yes to bold trends! Even if the inspiration comes from across the Atlantic.
