Tie Your Next Date Night Look Together With A Romantic Ribbon Ponytail

It was always a struggle trying to get me to put on some godawful ribbons on my hair in school. I know you relate to what I am saying here. They just looked so odd. Then I dove headfirst in all things beauty. I continued to have fun trying hairstyles and now, ribbons are my best friends. It is one of the most versatile hair accessory there is and can give a romantic twist to any hairstyle.

I'm not the only one who thinks so, at a recent event Bipasha Basu Singh Grover gave the ideal date night make-up look a romantic upgrade with a simple ponytail. Tying the look (and her hair) together was a pretty ribbon bow.

Bipasha paired a classic red lip with a muted bronze smokey eye and mega volume lashes. The bold eyes and bold lips were beautifully balanced out by a muted base. What I love about this look is the smoked out gel eyeliner that gives the smokey eye an oomph factor. Intelligently, the make-up artist has lined the lower waterline with a nude pencil and then added the same smoked out eyeliner to the lower lashline. This gives the eyes a more doe-eyed look.

This was my most favourite part of the look. Bipasha's hair has been curled with a large barrel curling iron and then brushed through for effortless beachy waves. Post that, leaving a few pieces from the crown, the rest of the hair is gathered about three inches higher than the name to make a loose ponytail. A simple black ribbon is then wrapped around the ponytail and tired up into a bow at the top. Because Bipasha has blonde highlights in her hair, the black ribbon looks gorgeous against the curls, but you could use any colour ribbon depending on the outfit you're planning on wearing.

I am totally cutting up some ribbons for my next date night, are you going to try this look with me?
