TV actress Saumya Tandon pleasantly surprised her fans yesterday by announcing that she is expecting her first child.

The Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hain actress took to social media to make the announcement, saying that she’s really excited and felt like a superhero. “Woke up feeling like a magician today, feel like a superhero without a cape most days now, filled with blessing and godliness. Constantly excited by the buzzing in my head and the sudden pump of hormones; this promises to be a fascinating ride. The big news-I’m PREGNANT and trying to soak in every moment of it! Need your best wishes throughout,” Saumya captioned her post.

Saumya, who played Kareena Kapoor Khan’s sister Roop in Bollywood movie Jab We Met, also shared pictures of her maternity photoshoot, flaunting her baby bump and pregnancy glow. Saumya and her hubby, banker Saurabh Devendra Singh, will embrace parenthood for the first time. The actress had tied the knot with Saurabh in a close-knit ceremony back in 2016. The two were reportedly college sweethearts and had known each other for over ten years.

Speaking to a leading daily, the beaming mother-to-be mentioned that the news of her pregnancy arrived before she was expecting it, but she was glad it happened. The actress also mentioned that now was not the time to answer questions about her career. “Right now, it is about celebrating and taking all your good wishes for me. Of course, I plan to continue working and acting as long as I live,” she added.
Many happy news are coming from Bollywood. Saumya’s announcement was just days after fellow actress Surveen Chawla shared her pregnancy news. The Sacred Games actress had said that she was expecting her first child in April next year, adding to a frenzy of joyous Bollywood headlines this winter. Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are all set to say ‘I do’ today and tomorrow at their destination wedding. Priyanka Chopra is also expected to tie the knot with Nick Jonas later this year.
