Content creator and stylist, Meghna Sahijwani Bhattacharya recently tied the knot with her sweetheart Jai Bhattacharya from school days. All Things Floral: The Mehendi Outfits
Top on our bookmark list is Meghna’s mehendi outfit featuring a panelled skirt and a ruched, one-shoulder top. It is definitely the smattering of multi-coloured 3-D flowers and embroidered leaves on the nude base that is doing it for us. The outfit reminds me of a spring garden and all things flowers and butterflies.
Speaking about the Richa Jaisinghani Label outfit, Sanjana shares, “The idea behind the theme ‘Pastel’ was to keep it super easy breezy & fun for the guests to attend a summer wedding in Goa. I’ve always loved the Mehendi function the most as its one where you can showcase your best self without any restrictions to silhouette, cuts or colours! My vision was to go quirky in a pretty way.”
Jai has matched Meghna in an asymmetrical white kurta and a complimenting floral Nehru jacket. Don’t they look just perfect together?
However, we need to give special credits to the strategically used accessories that add to the overall appeal of Meghna’s outfit. The matching hathphool, ear studs, and floral headband are just the shaadi inspiration that the 2021 brides need this summer. All Things Sunshine: The Haldi Outfits
For their haldi ceremony, Jai and Meghna went for complimenting yellow and orange outfits respectively. While the groom opted for a solid kurta and pajama outfit, the bride went for a customised slit pants and top look. Meghna’s top featured orange tassels and the flared ombre pant was further accentuated with a peach fabric belt. Well, can’t say anything about you but we surely are reminded of the bachpan wali orange ice cream.
We are equally smitten by the Bengali bride’s traditional topor (a crown worn by Bengali brides) and just how well it is going with Meghna’s summer-perfect look.
All The Things Glamm: The Sangeet Outfits
For the sangeet night festivities, while Jai dressed up in an embellished silver pathani kurta and pajama, Meghna went for a pop of teal and we are in love with how nice the hues look together. “I’ve always believed that a pop of colour does much more for me than an understated silver or gold! And so I chose TEAL! I wanted it to be bright and fun (just like my personality),” shares the bride.
Her Karishma and Ashita lehenga comprise a skirt and a statement crop top that features ruffled layers on both the front and the back. A cape has been attached to the top to give it a dupatta-like silhouette and well, we think that it is one of the most practical sangeet outfits that we have ever spotted on a bride.
Now that’s some solid summer wedding inspiration, right?
