Days after Sonali Bendre’s shocking news of being diagnosed with metastatic cancer, we were all devasted after learning that Ayushmann Khurrana‘s wife, Tahira Kashyap was diagnosed with breast cancer too. However, instead of being down and out about the incident, she decided to choose positivity instead.
Tahira shared a picture of herself in the hospital and wrote, “I told my doctor now is the time to give some competition to the Kardashians since Pamela is passé. The invincible human spirit is God-like, gives you the courage to endure and the will to revive. There is nothing that human spirit can’t do.”
Her brother-in-law, Aparshakti Khurana, who was last seen in Stree also commented on the picture, along with hubby Ayushmann who called her a ‘warrior princess’.
Now, the Vicky Donor star has finally spoken about his wife’s illness. Talking to a leading media house, he said, “She was diagnosed on my birthday [September 14]. We had to maintain a happy life state to deal with it. In fact, after we got to know about her condition, we went to see Manmarziyaan that evening. We told ourselves, ‘Okay, we’ve been diagnosed. We can’t go home and cry about it. It’s better to go for a film.’ So, we watched the film, came back and got the date for her operation.”
The doting husband even shared a picture of his wifey on Instagram and thanked everyone for their support. He wrote, “Thanks for your wishes & support. Last 7 days have been tough but we have decided to have a happy life state & fight this challenge. I’m proud of my warrior princess.”
