TV actress Asha Negi became a household name after her stint as Purvi in popular daily soap Pavitra Rishta. Fans fell in love with her onscreen chemistry with Rithvik Dhanjani, who played the role of Arjun in the show. Interestingly, the two began dating on the show and have been in a relationship for six years now. The two have been very open about their relationship and their Instagram PDA is adorable.
Recently, in an interview with a leading daily, Asha was asked about her relationship and the actress said, “There is no such thing as a perfect relationship. We, too, go through difficult times and rough phases. But we never show that publicly, so people think everything is hunky-dory. If anyone who is in a relationship says that he or she hasn’t had fights or arguments, then they are lying. Also, when one person isn’t able to move ahead or take the relationship forward, the other person has to work at it. Sometimes, it is me and at other times, it is Rithvik, who carries our relationship forward. We are best friends, so we love spending time with each other. More than me, Rithvik works harder on our relationship. He is very committed and handles me well when I act like a spoilt brat.”
Asha had been on a sabbatical for over two years and recently made a comeback with a web series, Baarish. In an interview with a media portal, she was asked about when will she be sharing screen space with beau Rithvik. Asha’s answer took all fans by surprise. “We are not the right people to answer the question because it depends on the producers. We have been offered shows in the past, but it comes with a lot of pressure because we have one hit under our belt. So, we have been sceptical about working together. If we do take up something, it will have to be different. We have a precious bond and don’t want to test it before the camera. For now, we are enjoying our own careers.”
Asha has always been asked about when she will tie the knot with a long term boyfriend Rithvik. In an interview with a media portal recently, she said, “I am in a very happy place. We are not in a hurry to get married. We are very happy in each other’s company. Everybody will get to know when it has to happen. We won’t do it in hiding. Jab pyaar itne khule aam kia hai toh shaadi kyun chupke karenge. A lot of people say that you guys are so open about it and I am like, yes, what is there to hide? We are in love, we are not doing anything wrong.”
