Whenever you go to a new place with a folk flavour of its own, you tend to take home something from that culture. For example, if I'm going to Thailand, I'll eat local Thai food, pack tropical prints and wear straw hats. Well, that's not just you and me. Anushka Sharma is like us too. To promote her upcoming film, Sui Dhaaga, Anushka recently took a short trip to Lucknow and wore a Lucknowi suit with traditional chikankari embroidery for the event. We feel so much closer to her already.
Both Anushka and her co-star, Varun Dhawan, were twinning in white and winning in desi style.
Anushka wore a white chikankari suit from the House Of Chikankari by Kanika Kapoor and now I can't wait to get a traditional Lucknowi suit too. Chikankari is a delicate and artfully done hand embroidery technique from Lucknow. Typically, a white thread is embroidered on cool, pastel shades of light muslin and cotton garments.
Talking about her gorgeous earrings, these gold-toned chandbaalis with pearl detailing are from Purab Paschim by Ankit Khullar.
Anushka Sharma looks ethereal in this all white look accessorised with the muted tones of @fizzygoblet X @payalsinghal Desert Rose Juttis 💕 Styled by : @alliaalrufai @shubhangini_gupta 👏 Can’t wait for @suidhaagafilm the film to hit the screens, a story about Indian Artisans will be one we’ll be looking out for :)
Keeping in tune with her 'Made in India' journey, Anushka wore Fizzy Goblet juttis with her suit. It can't get any easier to get her look.
