Virushka is everywhere this week! And why wouldn’t they be? It is one of the most influential weddings that have happened this year. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma, are the most sought-after couple today and are making people believe in love all over again. The simplicity of the wedding though is something I am struck by. An intimate ceremony in picturesque Tuscany with close friends is definitely one of the pins on my Pinterest board, yes we all have them, don’t we?
What caught my eye though, was Anushka Sharma's simple and structured beauty and hair looks! She opted for a simple bun with flowers and a radiant glowing face, for her wedding and it was just so perfect! With blush tones everywhere, her understated make-up and hair looked gorgeous with her Sabyasachi lehenga. The engagement look was my MOST favourite look though. Just simple make-up with a bold lip and that gorgeous gorgeous bun with red roses that went perfectly well with her saree, now THAT I would absolutely do at my wedding.
You’d think she couldn’t outdo that, but huh, I stand corrected.
Anushka trespassed all at the reception that is being held at the Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi (which btw the couple invited Modi Ji to), with an amazing Sabyasachi ensemble and hair and make-up befitting the queen that she is! For her make-up, she went for a matte base, with a bold smokey eye and nude lips. I think this is the most failsafe make-up look for her reception keeping in mind the royal Sabyasachi saree and the ornate vintage jewellery.
Her hair, on the other hand, stuck to the theme that she has been following through her engagement and wedding. She went for a middle-parted sleek and shiny bun, wrapped around it is a fragrant jasmine garland. This hairstyle is in tandem with her traditional garb and jewellery. But the most beautiful thing about her today was the sindoor that just tied her look together.
We can safely say, that she was dressed head to toe in love.
I am now looking forward to what amazing-ness will ensue at her Mumbai reception. I can’t wait!
