Pavitra Rishta actress Ankita Lokhande is making her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The movie’s Jhalkaribai has been promoting the movie along with the directors Kangana and Krissh for the past couple of weeks. She has been attending promotional events, giving interviews and visiting school functions.
Recently, in an interview with a leading daily, she opened up about her ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. When asked if she would be okay with sharing the screen space with Sushant as both of them are a part of Bollywood now, she said, “As an actor, I have no choice. If the script is good I will definitely work with him.” Pavitra Rishta fans, are you listening?! A good script can bring these two ex-lovebirds together onscreen.

A weeks ago, when Ankita’s first look as Jhalkaribai was revealed, Sushant left a comment on it saying, “It looks absolutely great Ankita. I’m extremely happy to see this. May God bless with lots of success and happiness,” to which Ankita’s response was a thank you and best wishes.
Those who are not sure what we’re talking about, let me hit rewind. Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande go way back to their television days. They played husband and wife in Ekta Kapoor’s popular TV show Pavitra Rishta and were dating in real-life for a long time. They even participated in a dance show called Jhalak Dikhla Jaa Season 2. On the show, Sushant proposed to Ankita, but unfortunately, after Sushant entered Bollywood, things didn’t work well for them.
Ankita also revealed that the two are not on talking terms now. When asked about the concept of exes being friends, Ankita said, “Depends on their history. I won’t rule it out, Deepika-Ranbir are a case in point.” Later, she firmly added that there was no way she and Sushant could reunite. “We are not on talking terms,” she said.

If a source close to Ankita is to be believed, it was Ankita’s over-possessiveness that caused problems. The source said, “They have simply grown apart. It happens. When they started they both wanted similar things. They both had dreams. But somewhere along the way, Ankita was just content doing nothing while his career took off. I think that is where the disconnect began.”
In an earlier interview, when Sushant was asked about the reason behind calling off a six-year-long relationship, he responded saying, “Neither she was alcoholic, nor I am a womaniser. People do grow apart and that’s unfortunate.”
Sushant Singh Rajput who is now a successful Bollywood actor was recently in news for hanging out with his Kedarnath co-star Sara Ali Khan.
Ankita is currently dating Vicky Jain and her debut film Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi will hit the theatres on India’s 70th Republic Day.
