The entertainment industry resumed their production work and projects immediately after the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, which meant celebrities going back to work on sets and travelling the world for shoots. One such project that resumed post-lockdown was Raj Mehta’s Jug Jugg Jeeyo.
The movie is a multi-starrer drama featuring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, and Prajakta Koli. According to recent media reports, director Raj Mehta and three of the leading cast members - Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Varun Dhawan - have reportedly tested positive for COVID-19. The production has gone on hold for now and the makers are waiting for everyone to recover.
Varun is also promoting his new upcoming movie Coolie No.1 but it seems like the actor will now be taking some time off from the same. This once again reminds us that even though the productions are being carried out with complete precautions and accordance with COVID-19 guidelines, the risk still prevails.
Varun, Anil, and Neetu are not the only celebrities who tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan were probably the first Bollywood celebrities to test positive. Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora also tested positive and had to stay in isolation before recovering completely. Popular celebrities like Prince Narula, Yuvika Chaudhary, and Himanshi Khurrana were also some of the many stars who have recently recovered from this dangerous virus.
We hope for a speedy recovery for everyone and urge the people to wear masks, practice social distancing, and take complete precaution as the pandemic is still not over!
