Ananya Panday is one of the most promising Bollywood debutants this year. Even though she is only a film old, the Student Of The Year 2 actress has amassed a huge fan following already. Be it stylish appearances, pictures on social media or her witty answers in interviews, Ananya is a fan-favourite.
Ananya is currently gearing up for her upcoming film titled Pati Patni Aur Woh which also stars Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar. Ananya will be essaying the role of an older secretary whose boss is interested in her. As a part of the role prep, the starlet is currently on a strict weight-gaining routine under the observation of celebrity trainer Yasmin Karachiwala.
In a conversation with a leading daily, she spoke about how she’s preparing for her role in the film. Ananya said that it's really tough for her to gain weight. The actress revealed she is eating every two hours and maximizing the protein content. However, the actress is careful that she wants to gain the right kind of weight. As per reports, Ananya is required to put on up to five kilos for her role.
The team will reportedly begin shooting from the 11th of this month in Lucknow. Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is touted to be the official remake of the 1978 movie, originally starring Sanjeev Kumar, Vidya Sinha and Ranjeeta Kaur.
A week ago, Ananya was in the news for her new initiative to tackle cyberbullying. The 20-year-old actress introduced So Positive to her followers on Instagram. She posted a two-minute video that explained the idea behind it. She stated that she plans to build a community to create maximum awareness on social media bullying. She captioned the video: “A part of growing up is taking responsibility & as a woke Millennial I, Ananya Panday introduce y’all to my Digital Social Responsibility initiative 'So+' ❤️ @sopositivedsr #SoPositive #SocialForGood”
This initiative is centred around extending support and providing guidance to people by collaborating with helpful entities such as government organisations and lawyers. It would also serve as a channel to combat social media bullies, who according to Ananya, are nothing more than ‘faceless, unidentified, unverified and newly made social media accounts’.
