Big B's children, Abhishek Bachchan, and Shweta Bachchan Nanda are both overjoyed and emotional with the actor's achievement and we can completely understand why.
Shweta definitely could not contain her excitement and why should she! Here's proof!
She took to Instagram and wrote, "Whose your Dada (Saheb Phalke)? Uncontainable excitement, pride, tears, and general hysteria!!! Congratulations Papa ♥️."
A plethora of other reactions have also poured in as Bollywood continues to shower love on the legendary actor.
Karan Johar wrote on social media, "The most inspiring legend of Indian cinema! He is a bonafide rockstar! I am honoured and proud to be in the era of Amitabh Bachchan. The prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Amitabh Bachchan!"
Anil Kapoor also wrote, "There is no mention of Indian cinema without this legend! He has redefined cinema with every role and deserves every accolade for his innumerable contributions!"
Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar, who has time and again credited Big B for being the inspiration behind his entry into cinema also wrote, "Congratulations to the legend @SrBachchan for the prestigious #DadaSahebPhalkeAward. You have entertained, inspired generations with your exhilarating Performances. Wishing you more success and happiness,".
Big B, the 76-year-old Bollywood icon, rose to stardom with movies like 'Zanjeer', 'Deewar' and 'Sholay' in the 1970s. The Shehenshah of cinema continues to still give us mesmerising performances. He has won the National Film Award four times for Agneepath, Black, Paa and Piku. The megastar will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's upcoming film Brahmastra.
