It's always party season in Bollywood! No one knows how to let loose, take a few too many drinks and just have a gala time better than B-town celebs and it's always fun to see those pictures flooding our social media. Last night, Javed Akhtar celebrated his 75th birthday and all of tinsel town stars were there to partake in the festivities of the legendary lyricist and poet.
From ace designer Manish Malhotra and actor Aamir Khan to Farhan Akhtar and his bae Shibani, everyone was in attendance. This surely looked like one heck of a 75th birthday partay!
Shabana Azmi and birthday boy Javed Akhtar twinned in red and white polka dots and brought some yesteryear swag to the party.
Anil Kapoor rocked a printed shirt that resembled Shashi Kapoor's signature style and Sunita Kapoor wore a print on print dress with red fringed detail.
We're pretty sure Aamir Khan didn't get the memo of the theme because he came in classic grey pants, a white shirt and a black coat. But we do love the thick-rimmed glasses he's pulling off. Kiran Rao wore flared denim with a blue tie and dye top to stick to that retro vibe.
Veer Zara actor, Divya Dutta went all out in an all-red sharara for the party. Accessorising it with a paasa and mang tikka, we're getting major Umrao Jaan feels.
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker also came to partake in the celebrations and wore an all-black suit for the occasion. His wife, Sunita wore green pants with a white top and finished the look off with a leopard print scarf.
Actor and director, Farhan Akhtar wore a brown suit for his father's birthday and even wore a red scarf on his head. Doesn't he look a little like Amitabh Bachchan from Don?
Boney Kapoor looked very happy as he turned up for the party. Wearing a grey shirt and black pants, we loved the producer's little hat!
Swara Bhasker shined brightly in a sequined jacket with a lilac top. She even put on a headscarf to really nail that 60s avatar. Urmila Matondkar wore a blue floor-length dress with beaded detail and did that classic yesteryear winged eyeliner.
Designer Manish Malhotra rocked an all-black outfit with a splash of blue as a jacket. He even put on massive sunglasses (at night) along with a checkered scarf.
Shibani Dandekar looked super cute in white pants, peach polka dot top and white scarf tied on the neck. Also, meeting the parents and turning up for family functions is a big step, isn't it?
Gully Boy director, Zoya Akhtar turned up for her father's seventy-fifth birthday in all-denim and shades. Still trying to solve the mystery of wearing the sunglasses at night?
Wow, we were surely taken a few decades back. That looked like a fun bash and we wish Javed Saab a very happy birthday. Many many more to come!
