Mohena Kumari Wore Rajputi Poshak For Her Wedding & We’ve Never Seen Anyone Look So Royal

Remember Mohena Kumari’s engagement ceremony on a Goa beach? Mohena, aka Keerti from Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, got engaged to Suyash Rawat in February 2019 in a ceremony so lavish that everyone thought it was her wedding.

Mohena, who is the princess of Rewa, later released her engagement video, which left us wishing we were at a beach wedding. She looked stunning in a golden floral embroidered lehenga, and she’s outdone herself now with her royal bridal pictures. The pictures from her Rajputana wedding ceremony in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, have surfaced on the internet. The actress wore a traditional Rajputi poshak (lehenga) and, boy, did she look drop-dead gorgeous! Mohena looked regal in her heavily-embellished red poshak with gold details. The intricate and traditional jadau jewellery added a touch of old-world charm. All in all, Mohena made for one beautiful bride. Her groom Suyash wore a beige-hued embroidered sherwani and safa.

Earlier, in an interview with a leading daily, Mohena had revealed that she would be wearing a traditional Rajputi outfit for her wedding. She also said that her sister-in-law, Yuvrani Vasudhara Raj Lakshmi, and mother-in-law, Maharani Ragini Singh, had selected her outfit for the D-day. “For my wedding, I am wearing a typical Rajputi poshak and I am very excited for that. Suyash ji and I are not colour coordinating but we will definitely try to complement each other with our outfits. For all the functions I am wearing a Rajputi poshak,” the actress had said.

She will be relocating to Dehradun soon. She said, “I am never gonna miss dancing as I am not going to leave dancing. Everyone is asking me how are you leaving everything and going. Let me tell you, people mistake experiences to be things. Experiences are those things that you cherish for life and you take with you wherever you go. So my dancing, acting and everything is an experience that is packed in a bundle within myself. I am going to take it with myself wherever I go. I am not going to miss acting and dancing as I am not going to leave it.”

Apart from gaining popularity on Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Mohena was also the first girl from any royal family to participate in a reality show, Dance India Dance season 3.
