Please Stay Safe & Take Care! We Wish Alia Bhatt Speedy Recovery After COVID-19 Diagnosis

While we might not be taking the current pandemic as seriously as we did last year, the fact is that the COVID-19 virus is spreading like a wildfire at the moment. In fact, with 81,466 fresh COVID-19 cases, the country registered its highest case count in the past six months yesterday. Needless to say, the figures are inundating. However, if they aren’t a warning enough, you can perhaps pay heed to the current COVID-19 situation in the entertainment industry.

After beau Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt has now tested positive for COVID-19. She took to Instagram late last night to update her fans about the same. Through her Instagram, Alia shared that she has been diagnosed with COVID-19 and has been home quarantined. Here’s what she wrote: “Hello all, I have tested positive for Covid-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors. Grateful for all your love and support. Please stay safe and take care.”

Currently, Alia is busy juggling a number of projects and hasn’t really had a breather since the release of Gangubai Kathiawad’s teaser. The film is slated to be released on July 30 and the actress has been busy with promotional events and was making a lot of public appearances before her COVID-19 diagnosis. She also has Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra in the pipeline and is expected to start with the promotion events pretty soon.

It was just last month that Ranbir Kapoor had tested positive for COVID-19. He too was self quarantined in his home and has recovered from the infection now.

Well, this is a crucial time for India in terms of pandemic mitigation. It’s high time that we put a cap on unnecessary activities before the situation gets out of hand. With multiple COVID-19 mutations and the risk of re-infection, the least we can do is stay safe by following the social distancing protocol. We urge you all to stay safe and follow social distancing.

Here’s wishing Alia a speedy recovery. Get well soon!
