Ali Fazal is one of those few names who has been treading his own path without pulling any strings. The actor is dominating headlines yet again as he gears up to team up with the wonder woman, Gal Gadot for Kenneth Branagh's Death on the Nile.
An adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel with the same title, the film is a follow-up to the studio's 2017 Murder on the Orient Express. The film had a stellar star cast - it brought together the likes of Judi Dench, Olivia Coleman, Willem Dafoe and Johnny Depp.
Death On The Nile revolves around Hercule's investigation of a murder that takes place in a cruise on the Nile. The film will go on floors later this month in London and parts of Europe.
Actor Ali Fazal may not be doing big-budget Bollywood films in India, but he is carving a niche in Hollywood for sure. In 2017, Ali gave an impressive performance as the titular character of Abdul Karim in the movie, Victoria & Abdul. The cherry on top was when the actor got a chance to work alongside veteran actress and Oscar winner, Dame Judi Dench for this movie.
Speaking about his new role, the Fukrey actor told a leading daily, "Yes, I am a part of this wonderful journey and I am looking forward to it. My mother and I have always been huge fans of Agatha Christie novels, so this is special.”
“Kenneth is a master of his craft and I’m excited to be directed by him. And what a stellar cast to join hands with on this project," he added.
Though the actor hasn't revealed anything about his role in the film, the film is aiming for a December 2020 release. Apart from Gal Gadot, the movie also features Armie Hammer and Letitia Wright and is being written by Michael Green.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Ali is currently working on Prassthanam, a political drama alongside Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Chunky Panday and Manisha Koirala.
