When it comes to our Bollywood stars, they are either completely open about their relationship or they believe in keeping it hush-hush. And then, there are some celebs who simply LOVE to keep their fans guessing. We are talking about the ones who have used “We’re just good friends” so often that we have legit lost the count. Well, we might not know when the actors are being transparent about their relationship status, but we do respect their decisions to keep their personal lives away from the tabloids.
Alaya Furniturewala has been stirring a similar buzz of late. Her fans are curious to know whether the Jawani Janeman actress has been dating her rumoured beau Aaishvary Thackrey. The duo has been spotted together multiple times for more than a year now. And finally, in a recent interview, Alaya decided to address all the rumours.
Speaking to a media portal, Alaya explained that despite all the speculations, she and Aaishvary are indeed just good friends. She said, “He is a very good friend. I know it is a cliche thing to say, but we are very good family friends. Our moms know each other, my grandad knows his mom, we have known each other for a very long time. It’s just now that the media notices a photo of us together and assumes that something is going on. We have been doing acting classes for a very long time, and also go to dance classes together; if the paparazzi had clicked us earlier, they would have a lot more pictures. That’s why we are bound to click together; I find him to be quite funny.”
The rumours started doing the rounds on the internet last year when the actress was spotted at Aaishvary’s birthday party in Dubai. The latter had shared a snap with his mother and Alaya on his Instagram story and had added a heart emoji in the caption. Alaya had also shared pictures with her rumoured bae on her 22nd birthday. In fact, the alleged lovebirds were spotted together at her debut movie’s premiere.
The actress even added that she felt that getting clicked with Aaishvary might get her in trouble. She said, “The paparazzi get photos so I know what’s going to happen with it. But I also make a joke out of it. Now, if I’m exiting a place, we have to exit together, and there are bunch of photographers who ask us to pose together and I politely refuse laughing over the fact that those pictures can land me in a lot of trouble later.”
Well TBH, we’d love to see more pictures of these *good friends* together!
