Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty & Paresh Rawal Are Coming Back For More Hera Pheri

Even after 18 years of its release, Hera Pheri has not found its competition in the genre of Bollywood comedy and that's why we are still not over Baburao Ganpatrao Apte and his chashma. We've been watching this Priyadarshan directorial for almost two decades and we those evergreen punchlines still get a laugh out of us.

The sequel of the movie, Phir Hera Pheri was released 12 years ago and since then we've been waiting for the reunion of the unbeatable trio: Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, much like the world has been waiting for a 'Friends' reunion. And if you are as crazy about Baburao ka sh-tyle as we are, you will be happy to know that another sequel of Hera Pheri has been confirmed by the makers.

Hera Pheri 3 was supposed to be directed by Neeraj Vora. However, due to his sad and untimely demise, the movie received a major setback. Now producer Firoz Nadiadwala has now revived this project.

The good news is that the original star cast, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal as Raju, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte will return in their respective roles. No change there! The movie will now be directed by Indra Kumar, who has also directed films like Masti and Dhamaal.

A source shared with Mumbai Mirror, "The project was locked last month after the three actors gave their dates. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019 and will release in the second half of next year."

The first Hera Pheri released in 2000 and was directed by Priyadarshan. Phir Hera Pheri, which came out in 2006, was directed by Neeraj Vora. For Hera Pheri 3, the two filmmakers had decided to reunite. Neeraj Vora had already locked the screenplay, story and dialogues for the film. When he suffered a heart attack and a brain stroke, the team waited for him to recover, but he went into a coma and passed away. Hera Pheri 3 is being made as a tribute to him.

Can't wait for Babu bhaiya's dialogues to tickle our funny bones!
