All India Cine Workers Association Bans Pakistani Artists In Bollywood

Remember when Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil got roped in a huge controversy before its release because it starred Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in it? The members of Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) had decided to boycott Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood.

More recently, All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) took the decision of banning all Pakistani actors and artists working in the Indian film industry in the wake of the Pulwama attack in Kashmir that claimed the lives of 44 soldiers.

AICWA issued an official notice that read:

“All Indian Cine Workers Association strongly condemns the brutal terrorist attack on our soldiers at Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. Our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims. AICWA stands with nation in confronting such terror and inhumanity.

Were officially announcing a total ban on Pakistani Actors and Artists working in Film Industry. Still if any organisation insist on working with Pakistani Artists will be banned by AICWA and a strong action will be taken against them. Nation comes first, we stand with our nation.”

Yes, there’ll be no Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan in Bollywood movies anymore. Fawad Khan stole our hearts with his captivating smile and screen presence the very first time we saw him in the Bollywood movie Khuda Ke Liye. His Pakistani TV shows became a rage as we wanted to see more and more of this talented actor. And who can forget Mahira Khan of Raees fame? She stepped into the shoes of the character with utter ease.

This hasn’t been the only reaction. Recently, actor Ajay Devgn took to his Twitter feed to reveal something none of us saw coming.

Should our country’s military and political situation tide over to the Bollywood industry? Let us know what you think in the comments’ section.
