Telly world’s favourite jodi, Jay Bhanushali and Mahhi Vij have been giving us some solid #CoupleGoals ever since they got married in 2011. We keep gushing over their pictures and for good reason! Earlier this year, when they announced their first pregnancy on Instagram, we couldn’t have been happier for them, and now the baby is here!
Many congratulations are in order for Jay and Mahhi as they welcomed a baby girl this morning at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. The elated dad took to Instagram to share an image of himself kissing his baby girl’s tiny little feet. He wrote, “The future just arrived, a brand new baby here to play. Ten little fingers ten little toes, mommy’s eyes and daddy’s nose.. Thank you princess for choosing us as your parents ITS A GIRL (sic).”
Mahhi also shared the same picture on Instagram. She also added an adorable video with it where her house help’s two kids, whom she and her husband have taken responsibility for, can be seen running around with pink balloons and making the announcement, “It’s a girl, it’s a girl!” Ugh, our heart cannot take all this cuteness at once!
Mahhi wrote an emotional message along with the post, something that will resonate with every mother. She said, “Twinkle twinkle little star we made a wish and here you are.thank you for choosing us as your parents. we feel complete. We are blessed with baby girl 👧 ❤️💋🙏thank u god for everything this one is special thank you. We feel blessed. My best friend is here. Meri zindagi Badal di (sic).”
Last month, when Mahhi announced her pregnancy on Instagram, she was flooded with intrusive, offensive comments about her alleged infertility (because, of course, the internet can be super random).
At the time, she had given a fitting reply to her trolls. “After so many messages on infertility!! I want to put this straight to all…that I was not going through any infertility issue !! It was my soul decision to wait and be a better child myself and do all my duties….I had my own share of responsibilities towards my parents…to have a child is beautiful…but to be a responsible child is much more…I choose the later…..be a good child to have one.”
This is the start of a beautiful journey for the couple. Congratulations to the new parents and we can’t wait to see the little one’s pictures!
