The 'Queen' of Bollywood aka Kangana Ranaut is known for not mincing her words. However, she often lands in controversies for strongly wording her opinions against the film fraternity. And looks like Kangana is in the limelight again; this time for going after her supposed doppelganger Taapsee Pannu.
It all started when Taapsee previously made some remarks about Kangana and said that the Queen actress needed a double filter. In return, Kangana, along with her sister/manager Rangoli Chandel, called Taapsee a sasti copy of Kangana.
Taapsee handled the jibes against her in a dignified manner, but recently, in one of her interviews, she said some stuff that irked Kangana's sister Rangoli and added fuel to the fire. In a recent interview, while promoting her film Mission Mangal, Taapsee called out Kangana Ranaut for not being appreciative of her films: "She (Kangana) has always spoken about how a woman should support another woman, but I did not hear any words of praise for my films. There are five women in Mission Mangal. Is she praising us? I am her junior and don't have a filmography as her, but I have done a decent number of films for someone to be appreciative of it."
Taapsee further said that she was extremely disappointed in Kangana because she had always admired the actress for her great work: "It was a shock because it came from someone I always admired. I felt disappointed. When someone you had put on a pedestal does this, it makes you question if you were right in looking up to her. In my response, I said I am happy being a copy because she is a damn good actress. I am sasta because she claims to be the highest-paid [female actor]. I don't see it as derogatory. Just because she is saying it, doesn't mean it's the ultimate truth. She didn't expose me; she exposed herself. It's awkward but I won't hold it against her. I love her as a performer and will continue to do so."
Taapsee's remarks seemed to have rubbed Kangana's sister Rangoli the wrong way. In response to Taapsee, Rangoli wrote a series of tweets, lashing out at the Badla actress yet again. In her tweets, she questioned Taapsee's validity in the film industry and also said that the media only contacts her for getting quotes on Kangana Ranaut.
While Rangoli has launched a Twitter war yet again, let's see what Taapsee has to say about this. Looks like no one's going to bury the hatchet anytime soon.
