Super Dancer Chapter 3: Six-Year-Old Rupsa Batabyal Earns The Trophy & Rs 15 Lakhs!

Last evening, the dance reality show Super Dancer Chapter 3 had its grand finale and six-year-old Rupsa Batabyal was crowned the winner of this season.

The little dancing queen from Kolkata won the show and she awarded a cash prize of Rs 15 lakhs, and her guru Nishant Bhat got Rs 5 lakhs for choreographing all her performances. Rupsa has been a favourite on the show. In fact, she already has social media following with 58K followers on Instagram!

Rupsa beat the other four finalists Saksham Sharma (7), Tejas Verma (9), Jaishree Gogoi (8) and Gourav Sarwan (12) and won the show as she received the maximum number of public votes.

Each finalist was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation along with the cheque of Rs 1 lakh. Additionally, the Top 5 finalists were awarded a cheque of Rs 1 lakh from Lotus Herbals.

After her win, the little wonder said, "It feels really nice and I am very happy to have won the trophy of Super Dancer Chapter 3. I will continue dancing because I love it. I look forward to going home, to Kolkata, and celebrating with my entire family."

Rupsa's dance guru Nishant spoke about how talented the little girl is. He said, "I still remember, when I was paired with Rupsa, I was perplexed. She is only six years old. So, it proved to be a learning ground for me from becoming friends with her to identifying her strengths as a dancer to working according to her moods to building that chemistry together and many other things. It took time, but I am glad we could establish a bond. She doesn’t speak much, but her dancing does all the talking. She is a gifted child and extremely hardworking. I wish her the best in all that the future holds for her!"

Clearly, she's a gifted child with tremendous potential.

The judges, actress Shilpa Shetty Kundra, choreographer Geeta Kapur and director Anurag Basu, were all praises for the young dancer. Shilpa said, "She deserves this victory. The way she performed week after week was really incredible. I am blessed that as judges, we could become a catalyst in her journey."

Geeta Kapur, who has loved Rupsa since day one, said, "I am the happiest right now as her journey and her hard work has paid off. I just want her to be happy and continue what she is doing right now as she is too small to be pushed at something specific. She needs to enjoy what she is doing."

The Jagga Jasoos director said, "Rupsa is a versatile dancer who has tried all different types of dance forms on this platform. Honestly, her journey has just begun."

The grand finale saw a couple of electrifying dance performances, but the grandest and most extravagant moment was when Shilpa Shetty took the stage and performed on the song Ghoomar from Padmaavat.

Isn't that incredible?

Congratulations, Rupsa, you're a star!
