Babita Phogat is India's pride when it comes to athletics. She won the gold medal in the 2014 Commonwealth Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games and even took home the silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and bronze at the 2012 World Wrestling Championship. Later, she joined politics and contested in the Haryana Legislative Assembly Elections 2019.
Now, Babita tied the knot with wrestler Vivek Suhag in a traditional ceremony and we can't get enough of their wedding pictures. The couple took eight pheras instead of traditional saat phere and Babita even wore an all-red Sabyasachi lehenga for her D-day. And the last one was a pledge to save, teach and let the girl child play. Wow!
Posing with her sister, Geeta Phogat and her entire family, the couple looked absolutely radiant. Geeta even took to social media to shower her behena with love and best wishes for this new chapter that she is starting in life.
As always Sabyasachi Mukherjee worked his magic and the laal lehenga on the bride looked breathtakingly beautiful. Priyanka Chopra had worn the same outfit last year during the same time for her grand wedding at the Umaid Bhawan in Jodhpur.
The lehenga was completely red with red embroider and embellishment on it. The bride sure was glittering through the night, looking like the quintessential desi bride. She wore a gorgeous maang tikka and a matching heavy choker necklace. Babita kept her makeup simple and elegant--highlighted cheekbones and muted red lips completed the dulhan's look.
Hai, so sundar!

We also found photos of her ghar ke functions and Babita looked absolutely stunning in the pictures. Look at the pictures from her mehendi ceremony.
Babita chose to wear a purple and yellow dhoti-cape outfit. Well, that's pretty on-trend. She accessorised her outfit with a string of kundan necklace and cute sunnies. Super chic, right!?
We also found a cute video of the shaadi ka ghar where all of Geeta and Babita's family doted over the bride-to-be. What a sweet fam-bam!
Dangal star, Aamir Khan also took to Twitter to wish the happy couple. For those who don't know, the film on wrestling was centered around the two sisters and their journey from fighting dangals in Haryana to winning medals at the Commonwealth Games.
Geeta and Babita's roles were played by Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, respectively. Zaira Wasim and Suhani Bhatnagar played their younger versions.
We're sending all our love to Babita Phogat and Vivek Suhag on their new journey together. You guys look aww-dorable!
