As India’s coronavirus curve steepens, the number of reported cases has jumped more than 50 per cent over the past few days. Even after walking a razor edge inside the race to develop a vaccine, we are still far from eliminating the risk. While the only handy solution, which is the countrywide lockdown has been extended till May 3, and the central government has announced a set of guidelines to be followed during the extended lockdown, the Coronavirus India state-wise count table is still rising even while you read about it here. To keep a tab on the casualties, POPXo is offering a live - India COVID-19 tracker to keep you updated about the current situation of the country.

COVID-19 State-Wise Data

On one hand, Arunachal Pradesh state police have taken a step forward and started using drones in several districts for surveillance in order to keep a check on movement of people amid the nationwide lockdown, the number of COVID-19 cases state-wise surge two-fold in Delhi and Mumbai. And despite the slowing trajectory, India’s case count could possibly reach 50,000 in a matter of eight days. COVID-19 active cases in India continues to be steeper compared to our Asian peers such as Japan, Indonesia, and Pakistan.

COVID-19 India Map

Just hover over the state for more details and get a detailed analysis of the cumulative spread trends of the discovered cases, the deaths and the recovered patients across the country.

The Indian government has listed 170 districts across the country as COVID-19 hotspots areas in India. They are all prosperous, dense and urban districts with a considerable number of poor people who may not be able to access government services. The country is likely to see a staggered resumption of economic activity with the current lockdown situation being the strictest in the COVID-19 hotspot areas.

As per the India COVID-19 tracker map, India’s death toll as of last evening was 881, roughly double of what it was eleven days back. Still, with the current rate of compounded growth, the number of COVID-19 active cases in India could rise to 50,000 in the next eight days, which will immensely strain an already weak health system.
