Kusha Kapila and Zorawar Ahluwalia’s divorce announcement has led to a lot of commotion on social media. While fans are heartbroken, haters are treating it as an excuse to troll Kusha. People are hating on her for being a successful woman. But some have gone a step further by digging up an old video of the content creator and are blowing it out of context. In the video, Kusha is chatting with Karan Johar and calls him the “go-to relationship person”. This is when Karan quips and asks her to “break up” and then adds, “Remember, sexual infidelity is not infidelity.”
Haters are using this video against Kusha and are character-assassinating her. Things have gone so out of hand that Zorawar has finally broken his silence and has come in Kusha’s defence. He recently took to Instagram and posted a note about how villainizing Kusha is wrong and unethical in a mutual divorce.
Zor’s note reads, “We realise we live public lives, but we still hold certain things sacred. Our marriage and respect for each other being one of them. Divorce much like our marriage was a decision we both made together, after much deliberation and thought. It was a tough and painful decision but one we took collectively, for the sake of both of our well-being. What has transpired over the last 24 hours, with Kusha being subject to vile attacks online makes me sad and disappointed. To attack Kusha’s character and paint her as some villain is shameful. Let’s all please do better.”
It is heart-warming to see Zorawar defending Kusha and this should shut up all the haters. Just because two people have decided to part ways doesn’t mean one of them has to be the villain. Things fall apart, not all marriages are meant to last, and sometimes, it’s better to walk away than to live a lie. Just like Zorawar and Kusha, the fans too need to accept their divorce gracefully without making it dirty.
Anyone who has followed Kusha’s journey over the years knows that she is one of the kindest, most generous and graceful people out there. To suddenly turn against her just ‘coz she and Zor have decided to part ways is simply unfair.
