Let’s talk about periods.
Every menstruating person has a totally different experience when they are on their periods. However, despite these differences, all we want to do during this week is to shut out the world and wrap ourselves in a blanket with the trusty heating pad that helps us to an extent with the cramps. When you are on your period, you must have noticed that you start craving certain food items, which are vastly different for everyone. Some want something sweet, others want something savoury.
We asked 15 women to share what food items they crave during periods and the answers encompass a wide range. Let’s take a look, shall we?
1. “Chinese or McDonald’s.” – Shivani Pathak
2. “Hot, cheesy, and spicy food; and dark chocolate.” – Akanksha Jha
3. “Momos, biryani, jujube, tamarind pickle, and chocolate.” – Silvya Marian

5. “Something sweet- chocolates, bakery items, ice cream, and anything junk and carbs. We basically eat our emotions at this point.” – Bhawini Thakur

11. “I’m too bloated and in pain so any refreshing citrusy drink will do. Something that does not contain soda, like a lemonade or fruit juices.” – Vishakha Joseph
