From Moose Jattana to Nikki Tamboli, we heard several names last week who could have entered Bigg Boss 15 as wild card contestants. The suspense was put to an end in the last Weekend Ka Vaar episode and three new gharwalas were finally introduced. Former BB 13 contestants, Rashami Desai and Devoleena Bhattacharjee will be entering the house along with BB Marathi 2 gharwala, Abhijit Bichukale. Not just that, the new sadasyas will apparently have special advantages and TBH, we’re not sure how we feel about it.
According to several social media pages that are known to have BB insights, the wild cards will be the new and the only VIP members of the house. They will decide the nominations, will be safe from eliminations and make or change house rules as per their convenience. Frankly, this power disparity is quite problematic and can turn the game into quite a mess. Here’s why we think so:
Does This ‘Sanskari’ Guy Deserve So Much Power?
There have been several contestants on Bigg Boss who have created scandals in the house by playing it dirty. From using foul language to brutally instigating other gharwalas, we have seen and condemned it all. It seems that Abhijit is going to be another celeb on the show who will be doing all of these things and we got a glimpse of it in the WKV episode.
From accepting that he’s reckless when it comes to his words and actions to accusing the gharwalas of lacking ‘sanskaar’, the wild card said it all. He also claimed that he would ‘teach’ everyone manners and etiquettes and we wonder who the heck gave him the rights? Also, how safe is it to give him the VIP treatment when he feels that his co-contestants are uncultured?
Will These Biases Ever End?
Right from the beginning of the season, the makers have been accused of showing favouritism to certain gharwalas on the show. Sadly, the wild card contestants will add more fuel to the fire and we’re not happy about it all. Devoleena has been clear about her disliking towards Vishal Kotian; and Umar Riaz shares a great bond with Rashami. While we don’t have an issue with their personal likes and dislikes, we do believe that their VIP status will put certain gharwalas at a major disadvantage. TBH, we’re not sure if we want to see a bunch of contestants hold such unfair advantages in the house.
