It is fair to say that nothing gets us more excited than a big fat Bollywood wedding. Lucky for us, in the last couple of weeks our Instagram has been flooded with rumours of a very exciting tinsel town shaadi and we have been gathering all the intel. Yes, we are talking about Athiya Shetty and Indian cricketer KL Rahul’s wedding.
According to the grapevine, Athiya and Rahul are planning to get hitched by the year’s end and it will be a grand celebration. However, now we have a kahaani mei twist! Recently, the actress’ dad Suniel Shetty opened up on the wedding speculations in an interview and said, “No, nothing has been planned yet!”
NGL, we like how daddy Shetty has used the term ‘yet’ here. Does this mean shaadi ki tayari will begin soon?
This is not the first time that Suniel has spoken about Athiya’s wedding. Just a little while ago, in an interview, the Dhadkan star shared, “She (Athiya) is my daughter, she will get married sometime. I would want my son to also get married, the sooner the better. It’s their choice. As far as KL Rahul is concerned, I love the boy. And it is for them to decide what they want to do, because times have changed. Beti aur beta dono hi responsible hai (My daughter and son are both responsible people). I would like them to take the decision. My blessings are always there for them.”
When Athiya Debunked The Wedding Rumours
Recently, Athiya took to the ‘Gram to react to the wedding rumours and shared, “I hope I’m invited to the wedding that’s taking place in 3 months. Lol”. Take a look:
TBH we have seen too many celebrities denying the wedding rumours till the big day itself (here looking at you Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt). So, we aren’t fully convinced by these statements. What do you guys think?
