“As cricketers we don’t get many awards but it always feels special when you get nominated or you get an award. So it always feels special.” Hardik Pandya said, which is true! Actor Sidharth Malhotra, who was there to support the sportspersons who’ve been making the country proud added “Sports is very important, anyone can play a sport, everyone should play a sport and today we are honouring all the sports person and hats off to Virat and team for having these awards. And I am just here to see who wins and have many more award function. Growing up in Delhi, I have played many sports like football and basketball. I think a lot has to be done, again today’s event makes it very important because they are promoting other sports as well apart from cricket. So I think, it’s a great initiative and I am very excited to be a part of the award function”.

But last night, the show was stolen by Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli. Both dressed in suits, they looked utterly perfect as a couple. While he was not in contention for any award, the captain of the Indian Cricket team definitely won our hearts for walking in hand in hand with his ladylove, Anushka!
