Someone Call The Fire Department, This Versace-Approved Eye Makeup Trend Is Hot

Paris yet again stunned us with a roster of jaw-dropping fashion moments and blessed our FYPs with some seriously dope beauty looks. But if there’s one brand that swept us off our feet with dramatic and impactful beauty inspo, it is Versace. The Versace runway oozes glamm and sex appeal every single season and the SS23 show was no exception.

The theme of the show was Goddess gone grunge. While the black microminis and cut-out silhouettes were one for the It-girl books. It was their eye makeup that got our hearts racing. The eye look exaggerated into an elongated jewelled smoke with matte shadows layered with sparkling shimmer has viral written all over it. Ever since the show, the beauty trend has Instagram under the spell, and for good reasons. Sported by the likes of Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid, and Imaan Hamman, the eye makeup looked equal parts sexy and punky. The eye makeup was giving glamm grunge energy and we’re off to copy it. It’s perfect for babes who are not afraid to steal the spotlight. If you wanna try the trend before everyone else, here’s everything you need to know.

The 411 On The Look

If you wanna serve some certified looks this party season, this eye makeup look is guaranteed to get you lots of attention. It sure looked like Julia Fox was on Versace’s makeup mood board for SS23. The eye makeup showcasing exaggerated, elongated wings was too sexy for words. Think siren eyes but make it sexier. The look helps to lift and enhance the eye while making it look longer. The look can be easily achieved by layering on a matte eyeshadow under a subtle shimmer eyeshadow and forming an elongated wing. You can complete the look by applying a few coats of mascara and even falsies it it’s your vibe.

The Italian fashion house has been experimenting with similar eyeliner and shadow styles for the past few seasons. It was a layered, vibrant graphic wing the last season and it’s deeper and smokier with more intense shades.

Here’s How To Ape The Look

The hot-as-hell eye makeup is perf to snatch the face while giving off bad bish energy. If you wanna try the look, here’s a 3-step guide:

Step 1: The Prep Step

We suggest doing your eye makeup before going ahead with your makeup base to avoid a messy fallout situation. Apply an eye primer across your lids to make sure that your eye makeup remains poppin’ all night long.

Step 2: Apply A Deep Matte Eyeshadow

Take an eyeshadow brush. Load some deep matte eyeshadow on it and apply it across your lid then extend it to form an elongated smokey wing. Opt for shades like plum, emerald green, or deep brown.

Step 3: Layer On A Light Shimmery Shadow

Apply a light shimmery eyeshadow all over the wings to accentuate your eyes.
