Upasana Kamineni’s Birthing Suite At The Hospital Was Nothing Less Than A Mini Palace!

Upasana Kamineni’s Birthing Suite At The Hospital Was Nothing Less Than A Mini Palace!

On June 20, 2023, Upasana Kamineni and Ram Charan welcomed their first child. The adorable baby girl received a royal welcome in the world including an extra special birthing suite. As expected Ram went all out to make the birthing experience as comfortable as possible for his lady love.

Architect Pavitra Rajaram was roped in to design to create a serene space for Upasana. She took inspiration from Buddhist architecture to make things perfect for baby Klin Kaara Konidela’s birth. Pavitra shared a few pictures from the birthing suite she created in Apollo Hospital, Hyderabad. Scroll down to take a look:

The birthing suite included the patient’s room, an additional room attached for their partner and family, a lounge area and a dining area. It was spread over 1,200 square feet. Speaking about her design, Pavitra said, “We really did that by playing with shades of white. We took our inspiration from the Vedas, which describe the five different shades of white, the white of the conch shell, and the white of the waves in the moonlight and the white of the jasmine flower, so on and so forth. And that was the idea that we used to create this harmony in the birthing suite.”

The beautiful tonal whites were pearl-like in some places, and slightly silver in other sides of the suite. With the right amount of layering, Pavitra managed to curate a ‘sense of luxury, but also of serenity.’

In all honesty, Upasana’s birthing suite has inspired me to change the decor of my room ASAP. What a visual treat!
