One glimpse at Natasha Dalal’s off-beat bridal outfit and we declared that 2021 was going to be the year of statement, pastel colours. Well, hardly a month has passed since we made the claim and brides wearing pastels for their D-day are already here. They have processed the memo just right, know how to let their outfit do the talking, and can totally do OTT while playing with the pastel palette. It’s a rare talent if you ask us and that’s exactly why we absolutely stan the new age off-beat brides.
Well, we just stumbled upon the pictures of a particularly well-dressed bride who has us as impressed with her outfit’s styling details. Manpria Batra recently tied the knot in an elegant day ceremony and her anand karaj look is surely one to take inspiration from. Here’s everything that we are loving about this stunner:
Pastel But Make It Flamboyant! The Out-Of-This-World Lehenga
Manpria’s Anamika Khanna lehenga is what bridal dreams are made of. Dipped in soft pastel shades, the lehenga has been embellished with a gorgeous mix of gota patti handwork and resham accents and the attention to details is what’s making the outfit pop. The skirt features distinctive kalis dyed in varying pastel hues like lemon, peach, sky blue, and baby pink. And while the blouse has been kept minimal, exaggerated scallops have been added to the dupatta to give it a statement touch.
That said, we need to take a moment and admire how the bride has ensured to show off her unique dupatta with an off-beat drape that highlights the skirt equally well. Well, this is where we take notes!
Just like her lehenga, the bride kept it elegant but statement with her choice of jewellery as well. Taking a welcome departure from the layered look, Manpria opted for a single choker featuring uncut diamonds. She completed the look with matching danglers and a simple maang tikka.
That Makeup Though!
In all honestly, part of the credit for Manpria’s statement look goes to her smokey eyes which have really been done to perfection. We love how the MUA focussed on her eyes and kept it minimal with the matte base and nude lips. Love the versatile look! Here’s how you can get it too:
