Perhaps the most talked-about couple of 2021 is #ViKat! Though the two stars haven’t made their relationship official yet, the internet is buzzing with their wedding rumours. Earlier this year, Bollywood actor Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor confirmed their relationship in an interview. He said, “Vicky and Katrina are together, that’s true!” Vicky and Kat’s relationship came as a surprise for their fans as they had never worked together or even made an appereance at any event in the past.
Arjun Kapoor & Malaika Arora
Back in 2018, rumours about Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor’s relationship made their way to social media. The duo denied all the speculations for a while but later in 2019, the Om Shanti Om actress confessed that she likes Arjun in an episode of Koffee with Karan. She stated, “I like Arjun Kapoor—this way or that way.” The couple faced massive social media backlash as Malaika is nine years older than Arjun.
Mala addressed the issue in an interview and said, “The age difference doesn’t really pop up when you are in a relationship. Unfortunately, we live in a society that refuses to progress with time. An older man romancing a younger girl is hailed everywhere, but when the woman is older, she’s called ‘desperate’ and ‘buddhi’. For people who think like this, I have just one line: Take a flying f***”
Gauahar Khan & Zaid Darbar
NGL, we can’t get enough of Gauahar Khan and Zaid Darbar’s PDA! The couple started dating in lockdown and after just a few months of courtship, they got hitched. Their relationship moved pretty quickly and that surprised a lot of folks.
In an interview, Gauahar spoke about their relationship and said, “He is like me in many ways in thoughts, behaviour, history and characteristics. So, I knew we would have a great friendship. We didn’t have a courtship. I met him, we hit it off and he didn’t think he would propose to someone, marriage was not on his mind. When he asked me, it wasn’t planned. It was in a flow and after meeting me, in literally over a month, he proposed to me. There were no second thoughts.”
Priyanka Chopra & Nick Jonas
Arguably the biggest whirlwind romance of 2018 was of American singer Nick Jonas and our desi girl Priyanka Chopra! Believe it not, the Sucker singer slid into Priyanka Chopra’s Twitter DMs in 2016 but they didn’t begin dating until a year and a half later. They met at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party for the first time. Nick made their relationship Insta official by posting a photo of PC on his story a few months later. In less than two year’s time, they got hitched. The two came from different cultures but for #Nickyanka it was all about love!
Neha Kakkar & Rohanpreet Singh
Another romance that left us all surprised! In an old interview, Rohanpreet spilled the beans about their love story. He said, “We literally met for the first time on the set of the song we did together – Nehu Ka Vyah and I didn’t even realise what she wrote for that song would come true one day. It literally changed my life for the best.” In just a few meetings, Neha and Rohanpreet knew that they were in love! The two got married in October 2020.
