Twelve years after Breaking Dawn (2008), Stephenie Meyer has made a viral come back to the world of Twilight with her new book titled ‘Midnight Sun’ and the schoolgirl in me is having her moment again. Years of anticipation later, fans of the Twilight series can finally rejoice at the announcement of the much-awaited novel, which is set to hit the stores in mid-August. After years of hearing the saga from Bella Swan’s side, this one will have the story told from the perspective of Edward Cullen. It is known that Stephenie had paused writing the novel in 2008 after the initial manuscript was leaked on the internet. Which is why she was hoping for a low-key release of the novel this time around. However, as soon as she made the announcement on her website, needless to say, it crashed, courtesy of excited fans and their comments.
Countdown To The Release
Fickle Fish Films, the publishing house which is launching Midnight Sun did a beautiful countdown for the novel which made the fans anticipate the release even more. They picked quotes from the novel and pushed them out as posts on their Instagram. Here are some of our favourites:

Announcing the release of the novel on her website, Stephenie said, “I don’t know how everyone else is coping, but right now books are my main solace and happiest escape. Personally, I would be nothing but delighted if one of my favourite authors announced something new for me to read. (No pressure, Laini Taylor.) So, I hope this announcement gave you some pleasure and something fun to look forward to.” Furthermore, she said:
“Working on a book for more than thirteen years is a strange experience. I’m not the same person I was then. My children have all grown up. My back got weird. The world is a different place. I can only imagine all the things that have changed for you. But completing Midnight Sun has brought back to me those early days of Twilight when I first met many of you. We had a lot of fun, didn’t we? Throwing proms and hanging out in hotel rooms and reading on the beach (while getting the most epic sunburns of our lives). We made hilarious T-shirts and fabulous websites. We found kindred spirits that are still in our lives now. I hope going back to the beginning of Bella’s and Edward’s story reminds you of all that fun, too.”

But wait, there is more to celebrate apart from the release of this novel. This October marks 15 years since the first Twilight novel released in the market. What started off as a love story between Bella and Edward, a human and a vampire, soon gained immense popularity and went on to be adapted as movies starring Kristin Stewart and Robert Pattinson in the lead roles. Fun fact – the two dated for real becoming everyone’s on-screen as well as off-screen favourites at the time. Their serious relationship, which became on-and-off in the middle, ended in 2013 when they called it quits for good.
