Gone Too Soon: Television Actor Sameer Sharma Allegedly Dies By Suicide At 44

The year 2020 just can’t seem to give us a break. While we’re still reeling with the tragic death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the news just broke that renowned TV actor Sameer Singh has died at the age of 44. 

The late actor was allegedly found hanging from the kitchen ceiling in his Mumbai home in Malad on Wednesday night.

The Malad Police stated that Sameer had rented the apartment in February this year. His body was spotted by a watchman who was on a round during night duty. Judging by the condition of the body, the Malad police suspect that he died two-three days ago. According to news reports, no suicide note has been recovered from his home.

“A case of accidental death has been registered and the body has been sent for autopsy,” said senior inspector George Fernandez, Malad police station.

Just a few days before his tragic death, Samir had posted about Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide and the importance of mental health awareness on his Instagram account.

Twitter Mourns The Late Actor

Samir gained popularity after he worked in TV shows like Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. His most well-known role was of Kuhu’s father in Yeh Rishety Hain Pyaar Ke.

If we’ve learnt anything from Sushant’s death, it’s that we should steer clear from speculation and let the police do their job. Rest in peace, Samir. Your fans will truly miss you.
