Tiny Bag To Balloon Pants, These Luxury Products Are Too Bizzare To Be True

People invest in luxury fashion brands ‘coz of impeccable quality. The price tags might be high but you get to own something truly remarkable. This is why people happily splurge on big fashion labels. But even luxury brands sometimes come up with products that are almost useless and so bizarre it makes you question your existence. No, we are not exaggerating. From cheese sweaters to grass-stained jeans, scroll down to see some super weird luxury products:

Microscopic Bag

The primary reason to own a luxury bag is to keep our stuff or to sometimes, flaunt that premium brand logo. But what if we tell you that there’s a bag tinier than a grain of sea salt? Yes, you read that right! Mschf, known for creating some out-of-the-box fashion items like those gigantic red boots, recently released the Microscopic Handbag. It is a rendition of Louis Vuitton’s OnTheGo tote and measures 657x 222×700 micrometres. The most shocking bit? It reportedly fetched a jaw-dropping amount of $63,750 (approx Rs. 52,27,500) at a recent auction.

Latex Balloon Pants

For his graduate collection at the London College of Fashion, designer Harikrishnan sent his models strutting down the runway in bizarre balloon latex pants. Apparently, Hari came up with the idea of the exaggerated 3D silhouette while walking his dog. He thought of how things might look from his pet’s perspective. He was fascinated by the thought and later translated it into the bizarre pants. While initially, Harikrishnan didn’t plan on selling the pants, the collection is now available on his site. The prices range from $1100-$5058 (approx Rs 90,200- Rs. 4,14,756).

Baguette Bag

Baguette bags were first created by Fendi in 1997. The compact bags sat comfortably under the user’s arms and became such a rage that many big fashion houses came up with their own versions. But Moschino’s rendition was the most unique. Their bag actually looked like a baguette. For their 2020 Fall/Winter collection, the brand took everyone by surprise with their baguette-shaped clutch and croissant crossbody bags. These bags looked super realistic and were reportedly priced at $1240 (approx Rs 1,01,680).

Grass Stained Jeans

Desi parents are still trying to wrap their heads around distressed and ripped jeans. Well, wait until they hear about grass-stained denim! For its fall/winter collection, Gucci launched grass-stained jeans and called them Eco Washed Organic Pants. These pants were reportedly listed for $1200 (approx Rs 98,400). Wow, 98k for stained jeans? No thanks, I’d rather create go sit on the grass!

Noodle Shoes

Bottega Veneta’s iconic shoe designs have captivated the world. Their quilted designs legit took the fashion world by storm. However, it was their 2020 pre-fall collection that got the world talking for an unexpected reason. A pair of macramé style shoes from their pre-fall collection, with pale yellow colour and a zig-zag pattern, strikingly resembled instant noodles. While it is unclear whether the brand took its inspiration from our fave midnight snack, the design was enough to spark a meme fest.

Cheese Sweater

If the baguette bag and grass-stained jeans were not bizarre enough, we bet Prada’s cheese sweater will do it for you. In 2021, Prada raised eyebrows with their yellow sweater that instantly reminded people of a block of cheese. The sweater was listed as an ‘Openwork Viscose turtleneck sweater’ that featured symmetric holes all over. The weirdest bit? It was priced at $1147 (approx Rs 94,054) on their website. So much money to look like a block of cheese, wow!

Scooby-Doo Socks & Shoes

In 2021, French fashion house Givenchy unveiled its SS collection that featured three-toe socks and sandals. The brand revealed Alexander McQueen’s fall-winter 1997 collection inspired the line. While the design was definitely unusual, many people noticed how it bore an uncanny resemblance to Scooby-Doo’s paws!
