Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has been winning hearts for its exquisite bouquet of characters. Each has been written with lots of love, consideration, and depth. Props to all the actors for doing a phenomenal job and bringing all these characters to life. That said, one of them definitely stood out for me.
There was something about Ranveer Singh’s Rocky Randhawa that made me fall for him instantly. Ranveer did such a phenomenal job that it was hard to tell where he ended and Rocky began. Well, guess what? Ranveer took special training to ace the character. Dharma Productions legit hired influencer Yuvraj Dua as Ranveer’s “dialect coach” for the film. He recently took to Instagram and talked about how it proved to be a dream-come-true opportunity!
The OG Rocky Randhawa
Yuvraj is popular on social media for his unique West Delhi dialect and impeccable comic timing. He was recommended to the RARKPK production team by a fellow Delhi influencer and the rest as they say is history. “I was hired by Dharma, (yes THE DHARMA PRODUCTIONS) to help Ranveer get the West Delhi accent and Dialect for his character ‘Rocky’. Though I was officially the “Dialect Coach” but I didn’t have to do much, except simply talk to Ranveer,” Yuvraj wrote in his Instagram post.
He also shared the experience of working with Ranveer and added, “He spent a few hours with me and already started adapting the accent and the lingos, and even started writing his dialogues in the most authentic West Delhi language. It was ridiculous at first but then I realised it’s the magical talent of the man and the years of utter dedication and devotion to the craft that has helped Ranveer reach this stage where he can effortlessly mould himself into any character and bring his own charm to it (and the charm is level 💯charm).”

Basically, Yuvraj was very much part of RARKPK’s production team and was even present during the film’s star-studded screening. He shared a BTS reel from the event and it is apparent that Yuvraj had the time of his life!
Well, now this is what you call a “dream job”!
